Sara confidently turned on the live stream. Beside her, Valentina adjusted her pristine white leggings. Rule one: don’t stop. Rule two: don’t fail in front of everyone.

“Let’s start,” Sara said. The squats progressed, but so did the discomfort. Valentina looked at her urgently.

“Sara… we need to stop.”

“No,” she replied firmly. “We’re done.” The effort increased. Jumps, lunges… and the pressure mounted. Thousands were watching. No one understood what was happening.
The body wouldn’t wait.
Sara closed her eyes. Too late.
Valentina looked at her, nervous… and seconds later, she felt the same.
They both stood still for a moment. Their white leggings were no longer pristine. The silence was heavy… and then, they laughed.

“We’ll keep going,” Sara said, a mix of nerves and determination.
They finished the routine as best they could. In the end, exhausted, they collapsed. “Rules don’t always work,” Valentina said. Sara shook her head with a slight smile.

“They do work… but not as well as listening to each other.” The broadcast ended, but the girls continued with one more game.
