Little Sara
Sara was learning to be a big girl. Her mom had taught her how to use the potty by herself and, most importantly, how to clean herself properly after going potty.
One day, Sara went to the bathroom, used her potty without help, and cleaned herself very carefully, just as her mom had taught her. When she finished, she washed her hands and came out very proud.
“Mommy, I finished by myself!” she said with a big smile.
Her mom went to check, and everything was clean and tidy. Then she hugged her and said:
“I’m proud of you, not because you did it by yourself, but because you did it well.”
Sara smiled, not understanding that this moment was more important than it seemed. Learning to be independent doesn’t happen overnight; it’s built with small steps, with patience, practice, and lots of love.
Sometimes we celebrate big goals, but we forget the small achievements that make them possible. For some, it will be something simple; for a little girl, it’s a sign of growth, confidence, and learning.
And so, with a little bit of paper, some mica, and a huge smile, Sara showed that she was growing a little more each day.
