Sara looked at herself in the mirror as she adjusted her pretty pink dress. It had taken her over an hour to get ready for the date she’d been looking forward to for days. She carefully styled her hair, applied just a touch of makeup for a natural look, and excitedly imagined the coffee and the conversation with that boy.

But just as she was finishing… her stomach growled.

“No… not now,” she whispered, embarrassed.

Seconds later, the silence of the room was shattered by a tremendous roar that erupted from it without permission. One after another. Loud. Long and drawn out. And the smell… unbearable. So heavy and hot that Sara desperately opened the window, waving her hand in front of her face.

“Oh my God!” she said, laughing and embarrassed.

The air seemed to stagnate, and for a moment she felt like she couldn’t even breathe properly inside her room. Even so, after surviving that “storm,” she grabbed her favorite perfume and doused herself in more than usual, trying to erase all evidence of the crime.

Then she grabbed her purse, slipped on her shoes, and headed out like a queen to her date.
