The day was so clear it seemed the sun was there on purpose. I took Valentina for a walk along the trail, a peaceful way to spend the afternoon. Always cautious, she carried her backpack; I offered her a cold orange juice as soon as we started.

Valentina drank it the whole way, happily… until her tummy started rumbling like a pressure cooker. She stopped, doubling over slightly.

“I think the juice is making me pay,” she murmured.

“Don’t worry, that’s what your diaper is for. If it happens, it happens,” I said, trying to stay serious.

She blushed, but eventually relaxed and let the juice do its thing. The relief on her face was immediate, though her shyness faded too.

“Well,” I said, “now we’ll find a safe place to change you.”

And that’s how our little mission began. We walked for quite a while, dodging people, dogs, everything. Valentina walked ahead of me, covering her face every time someone passed by.

“Almost there?” she asked every two minutes.

“Almost,” I replied, though it wasn’t entirely true.

After searching for quite a while, we found a hidden spot among tall bushes, quiet and shady. Valentina sighed as if she’d reached a safe haven.

She stretched out her legs, and I helped her. I took out wipes, a clean diaper, and everything else I needed. The change took a while, but I used so many wipes that she smelled delicious, fresh, and happy.

“All done,” I announced.

Valentina smiled, no longer embarrassed. “Thanks… you’re a great team.”

We returned to the trail, feeling lighter, walking calmly and laughing about the unexpected adventure.
