It was all happening in Valentina’s room. Soft light streamed in through the window as she lay on her bed, scrolling through videos on her phone without much interest. Sarah, on the other hand, stood by the window, calmly smoking a cigarette.

“I’m telling you, we should order something huge to eat,” Sarah said, exhaling a puff of smoke.

Valentina barely glanced up from her phone.

“You always want to eat like crazy.”

Sarah smirked, took another drag, and replied:

“I need to sleep light tonight… and to do that, I need to let it all out.”

Before Valentina could understand what she meant, Sarah let out a long, loud “PRRRRRRT.”

Valentina put her phone down on the bed and started laughing.

“Sarah! You’re so gross!”

Sarah couldn’t hold back her laughter either. She doubled over slightly, continuing to smoke as if nothing had happened.

“I warned you…”

But seconds later came another, even louder one.

“BROOOOOOMP.”

Valentina grabbed a pillow and covered her nose, laughing hysterically.

“Nooo! Open the window wider!”

Sarah was happy to make her laugh. She wafted the cigarette smoke with her hand and said with complete seriousness,

“This is part of the nightly relaxation.”

That only made Valentina laugh harder. Every time Sarah paused oddly or raised an eyebrow, Valentina knew what was coming and started shouting,

“No, Sarah, not again!”

But Sarah would end up letting out another absurd noise, and the two of them would end up laughing until they were breathless in the middle of the room filled with smoke, jokes, and the smell of farts mixed with cigarette smoke.
